Happy Body, Healthy Body is for you

We advocate mindful eating and trusting your intuition, rather than restrictive diets or laborious rules. People of all shapes, sizes and weights are welcome: this is a judgement-free zone.

Unlike many dieting and weight loss groups, Happy Body, Healthy Body is not about choosing “good” foods over “bad” foods. There are no weigh-ins and no certificates for achieving certain weight or size milestones. Happy Body, Healthy Body is not about achieving a number on the scales or tape measure; it is about finding peace and contentment with – and within – yourself.

I created Happy Body, Healthy Body, my third Meetup group, in March 2018 after becoming fed up (no pun intended!) with the increasingly convoluted “rules” about how to eat that were being thrust in my direction from the media, magazines, books, websites, groups and even friends and family.

I believe that our bodies already know how they need to be nourished, if we’re able to break out of our habits and ignore all those “shoulds”, and listen to our intuition! With over 40 group members already, it’s clear that I’m not alone.

 

Be your best self

Whether you would like to lose lbs or inches, or gain lbs or inches, change your shape, keep it the same, tone up, cut down on sugar or alcohol, or simply meet new people and discuss all things food, health and happiness, you are very welcome at Happy Body, Healthy Body. The group is not focused on weight loss, but on eating in a way that nourishes your soul as well as your body, and makes you feel good inside and out. We believe that your size, shape, weight and fitness level do not determine your worth: you do.
